If you want to become a certified gel nail technician, this is the course for you!  This beginner level program requires no previous training and is designed for the aspiring nail tech who wants to become certified.

Our 5 day, In-Person Gel Nail Technician Certification Program will teach you every fundamental aspect of becoming a skilled nail technician as well as give you advice on how to market yourself and build a successful career in this industry!

Unlike many other Canadian nail training programs that are outdated, overpriced, and overbooked, our gel nail program provides small, intimate classes with a maximum of 5 students per class, preparing you for a career in the nail industry by giving you personal, hands on training and mentoring directly from your educator – someone who is very established in the nail industry!

We promise you won’t leave our program with unanswered questions.  It is our mission to ensure you always feel supported as you grow and flourish in this industry.

Our gel nail training covers much more than the basic nail knowledge taught in other courses. In contrast to the larger and more basic nail courses, this program covers ALL nail shapes. You will also learn advanced techniques such as pinching, e-file manicuring & trending nail art!  You will learn how to price your services, how to brand and market yourself, and how to grow your clientele as well. We want to ensure that you will leave our program with the skills you’ll need to run a successful business in this industry.

How It Works:

The classes are scheduled as 5 consecutive days of in person training.  After our 5 days together, you will take your student kit home with you and you will leave feeling confident and excited to start!

You will receive our ongoing support and be expected to submit photos of your work through the online portal to complete your practicum.  With these photos, we can see your work and offer you any guidance you may need.

Once you pass all three practicum assignments, you will be write your online exam.  Upon completion of that, you will receive your Gel Nail Technician Certification via mail, and be able to shop at local or online beauty distributors as well as work in any salon!

Licensed Educator Keesha Carpenter

Keesha has been absolutely obsessed with nails since she became a certified nail technician in 2014!  She is so grateful to be able to help people express themselves creatively through the art of nails!  In 2019, she decided to start teaching nails so that she could share this passion she has for her profession with aspiring nail artists!  Since then, she has taught and certified many nail technicians, which has expanded her passion for this industry even further.  She teaches them not only how to create beautifully balanced and artistic nails, but also how to build their own successful nail businesses!

Licensed Educator,
Keesha Carpenter

Keesha has been absolutely obsessed with nails since she became a certified nail technician in 2014!  She is so grateful to be able to help people express themselves creatively through the art of nails!  In 2019, she decided to start teaching nails so that she could share this passion she has for her profession with aspiring nail artists!  Since then, she has taught and certified many nail technicians, which has expanded her passion for this industry even further.  She teaches them not only how to create beautifully balanced and artistic nails, but also how to build their own successful nail businesses!

Throughout her career, Keesha had many new and experienced nail technicians reach out asking for her expertise on various nail issues they were having troubles with – a lot of which were actually basic nail and salon knowledge!  This led Keesha to realize that there was a major lack of quality education for those new to the industry, leaving these students feeling totally lost, even upon completion of their nail courses.

Nail technicians reaching out to her for help or advice admitted to her that they felt they had not received proper support during or after their classes, and that their education did not cover key topics such as proper shaping, electric filing, and salon safety, just to name a few.

This did not sit right with Keesha, so she began formulating her highly detailed curriculum and starting her own nail academy with her own Gel Technician Certification Program!

With a focus on precision sculpting and shaping, and extensive knowledge of extra topics such as nail art, client communication, salon safety, marketing and more, you can rest assured that your education with Halo Nail Academy has all areas of your new career and business covered.

FAQ

If there's anything we've missed email us at info@halonailacademy.com and we would be happy to answer any other questions you may have.

A Certification is a professional recognition of achievement.  It means you have completed theoretical and practical training in the industry with excellence.  It gives clients confidence in coming to you, knowing you have undergone proper training.  Also, it is required from most beauty suppliers before they allow you to make a purchase.  As a bonus, it will give you wholesale industry pricing and give you access to professional only products

We expect our students in our Certification program to complete the course within one year.  This is plenty of time to complete the practicum portion of the course.  If you are unable to complete the course within that year, you will have to make arrangements to extend your program for an agreed upon fee depending on the length of the term. Extension fee for a period of “6 months” is available for the discounted price of $555 CAD and is subject to change at any time.

Deciding to take the plunge into a new career isn’t a choice that should be made on a whim. We encourage all potential students to ask lots of questions before making the investment to start their education.  All tuitions are non-refundable.  Should you have an emergency situation arise before that first day of class, the tuition minus the deposit will be put towards an upcoming class date.

The program is $3900 + tax, which includes a kit worth $1900, access to online resources for one year, your 5 in person class days, and one year of communication with your educator for help pertaining to education taught within the program.

Payment plan options are also available.  Please click “view payment options” button at top of page.

To secure a spot in an upcoming class, please click the button at the top of this page that says “register now”, and select your payment method.

Be sure to send us an email specifying the course dates you are interested in, along with your full name and phone number so we can schedule you into our class booking system!

This is something we would love to do if the opportunity arose!  If you are a salon or a distributor and want to hire one of us to teach a course, please email us at info@halonailacademy.com
